We stayed here to break up the drive from Fort Collins to Pagosa Springs and it was perfect. This place has been remodeled and cared for in a way that makes the property feel clean and safe. Not to mention the vibes and decor are soooo cute and fun. Would 100% recommend for folks passing through or staying in Salida.
We really enjoyed this place. Right away Kate’s good energy was contagious. Every staff member we talked to was helpful. The hot tub was nice, the beds extremely comfortable and the decor cute. Mostly, it was clean! The coffee was excellent and grab and go breakfast a nice touch. Oh.. And the fire in the lobby was great too
Stayed here this winter for a few days of skiing at Monarch, and it was wonderful! Comfortable rooms and great location. Owner was so kind and flexible with us when the thermostat went a little haywire. Would definitely do a repeat stay.
Wow! What a find! We stumbled on this super cool property due to our usual place being booked for pet friendly rooms. I called and had such a great experience and first impression over the phone I knew I would be booking here regardless of the price. However, I was pleasantly surprised as the rates were very reasonable. We got one of the Airstream units and that was great for us. No running water in the Airstreams but we didn’t mind as the very clean bathrooms with showers are just feet away. Clean units, clean bathrooms, clean hot tub and property. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location was on the main Hwy however you feel more secluded and tucked in. We found our new go to when in town. Thanks Amigo!
We stayed one night at this charming, newly updated motor lodge while passing through Salida, and it was a delightful surprise! The owners clearly put a lot of thought into the renovations — the decor was fun, unique, and full of personality, giving the place a cozy, welcoming vibe. Our room was clean and super comfortable, with a few thoughtful touches that made a big difference — like the mini fridge and the extra space in the bathroom, which even had room to hang up wet bathing suits from the hot tub. We slept incredibly well, felt totally safe, and left the next morning refreshed and ready for the next leg of our adventure. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a stylish, affordable, and comfortable place to stay in Salida!
I felt this my colleague and I had a great stay at Amigo Motor Lodge. We needed an affordable, clean and comfortable place to stop on our way through the area, and I am happy we chose this place. It has a clean and cute aesthetic, friendly staff, and I found the beds to be extremely comfortable! I have no complaints and the small snack breakfast bar is a great offering too. Thank you! We plan to stay here on our way back through Salida.
Stayed in the Velma airstream and it was great! The employees were pleasant and the vibe was really good here. The communal bathrooms were clean and the coffee in the morning was delicious. The only thing that was disappointing was their hot tub. The headrests were torn off leaving plastic pieces and the jets didn’t work for us or the people before us. Regardless we will be back.
If you’re in Salida and not staying here you’re missing out! Super fun, cool and clean. We loved our stay here. We travel with our dog a lot and he’s always on high alert-it was so quiet and comfy that he didn’t stir all night. The attention to detail is amazing. I hope Amigo is here to stay!
